The Madrid System allows an applicant with a qualifying national or regional basic application or registration to file one international application designating selected member markets. WIPO conducts formal examination, after which each designated member’s IP Office decides protection under its domestic law. We assist with market selection, goods and services strategy and preparation of the international filing.
